“Rum is made from Paraguayan sugar cane molasses. The innovation in the production of rum is that it is not kept in oak barrels, but aged adding oak wood chips. We currently produce seven different rums. The most popular is the Contraband Craft, which is aged in oak chips adding white sugar caramel,” told Gints Stradiņš, a founder of the Distillers Republic brand.
